Our client needed assistance to increase the lease value of the first and second floor spaces at Western Village. Although the original intent was to renovate, a solution presented itself with a transitional space. To contribute to the physical and visual continuity between the two levels, and better “connect” the facade to the street, an elegant outdoor escalator and elevator were constructed.
Both facilitate easy access between the lower and upper levels, contribute to the aesthetics of elevation, and compliment the wide front area. Generally, the lease value of the retail space on the second floor is lower than that of the first. With this build, both floors increased in value without compromising space and design.
